Your breast cancer diagnosis was a WAKE-UP CALL.

Now’s the perfect time to create a customized lifestyle approach.

Introducing. . .

RISK REDUCTION ROADMAP Immersion Experience

Eliminate confusion and uncertainty about nutrition, exercise and wellness.

___________

Make smart, informed choices for a pro-active approach to health, during breast cancer and beyond.

  • Imagine what it would be like to get answers to your specific diet and nutrition questions. Guidance on the best exercise program for YOU. Help sorting out all your healthy habit challenges – even if you’ve struggled with them for years.
  • Imagine what it would be like to have extended, uninterrupted time with a seasoned nutrition therapist, personal trainer and breast cancer survivor. A healthy lifestyle pro who’s spent her entire career helping women figure out what to eat, work through body image concerns, and build healthy lifestyle habits that last.

My Risk Reduction Roadmap Immersion Experience gives you all of that and more.

BECAUSE Risk Reduction Roadmap Immersion sessions are grounded in evidence-based research and guided by wise, personal experience and years of professional expertise, you can trust them to put you on the right path to wellness.

BEFORE I started my own breast cancer treatment, I had questions about my diet. I met with a dietitian friend who had extensive oncology experience. She confirmed the cancer nutrition information I knew, introduced me to concepts I didn’t know that I didn’t know, and helped me craft a customized approach to my diet. As a personal trainer, I had my exercise in place, and my experience working as a lifestyle/wellness dietitian helped me tweak my self-care practices.

I had a bit of a head-start, but not all women with breast cancer can develop a customized lifestyle approach to support them through treatment, into survivorship or living with metastatic breast cancer. Yet every woman, just like you, deserves that opportunity.

WHO THIS PROGRAM IS A GREAT FIT FOR

     –  Women with breast cancer, regardless of where they are on the breast cancer spectrum:

  •    Newly diagnosed
  •    In treatment (I address lifestyle nutrition; consult your oncology RD for appetite, nausea, vomiting, medication side effects and other concerns.)
  •    Survivorship
  •    Living with metastatic breast cancer

        – Women diagnosed with breast cancer who’ve made the decision to:

    •  Finally put their health first.
    •  Learn how to fuel their body for resilience.
    •  Learn how to exercise safely and sanely to build strength and stamina.
    •  Work with someone who has years of professional expertise, and personal experience with breast cancer.
    •  Start doing all they can to potentially reduce their recurrence risk and build a resilient lifestyle.

    – Women diagnosed with breast cancer who believe in the power of nutrition, fitness and wellness to elevate health and optimize healing.

    – Women diagnosed with breast cancer who are self-motivated to uplevel or maintain healthy habits, but need specific education/accountability.

    – Women diagnosed with breast cancer who’ve tried sorting through information on their own, but are confused and looking for guidance.

WHO THIS PROGRAM IS NOT A GREAT FIT FOR

  •       Women diagnosed with breast cancer who are looking for a quick-fix to their nutrition, health and lifestyle concerns.
  •       Women diagnosed with breast cancer who are interested in extreme practices without scientific evidence to back them.

Research encourages good nutrition, fitness and wellness habits to help improve outcomes and speed healing. As you move into survivorship, a customized plan of action helps you feel you’re doing all you can to potentially reduce your risk of recurrence, and if you’re living with metastatic breast cancer, that you’re taking a proactive approach to your overall health and well-being.

With so much misinformation and contradictory advice about breast cancer diets, how exercise fits, and self-care                practices, it can feel overwhelming and confusing to know what’s best.

On top of this, you may feel challenged by your own limiting beliefs, ongoing struggles, and confusion about the           best way to eat, move and take care of yourself.

   It’s true.

With individualized help, you can learn the best lifestyle behaviors for your unique needs. And if appropriate, resolve once and for all the exercise, diet, nutrition and body image concerns you’ve struggled with for years.

My Risk Reduction Roadmap Immersion Experience gives you the time and space to focus on yourself,

and gain the confidence you need to be proactive about your health.

RESULTS

In your half-day Risk Reduction Roadmap Immersion Experience, you’ll discover the freedom of knowing how to:

  •       Prioritize exactly where to focus first, whether it be food, fitness or self-care.

  •       Adapt general nutrition and fitness guidelines to your unique circumstances.

  •       Eat mindfully and with intention vs. eating for distraction.

  •       Feel confident you’re making choices that support your nutrition goals.

  •       Eat to reduce risk, regardless of whether you’re travelling, dining out or cooking at home.

  •       Feel your best on any given day.

  •       Keep your exercise consistent and effective.

  •       Deal with late-night snacking so you feel more in control.

  •       Manage your eating when you feel stress and strong emotions, so you don’t confuse “mind hunger” with “tummy hunger”.

  •       Overcome the “If I eat one bite of the wrong food my cancer will come back” syndrome.

  •       Kick-start the self-care practices and habits you know you should do, but don’t.

  •       Handle the all-or-nothing food and exercise rules in your head that tend to hold you back and derail your progress.

  •       Develop wellness/self-care habits that ground you and keep you sane.

“It was so good to hear from a real dietitian rather than the “one-size-fits-all” advice I’ve heard elsewhere.”

Founder, dam. mad. About BREAST CANCER

Hi there, I’m Cathy Leman.

I’m a registered dietitian, nutrition therapist, certified personal trainer, speaker and founder of “dam. mad. About BREAST CANCER” ®.

I spent nearly 20 years helping women create healthy relationships with food and adopt sane exercise practices, develop risk reduction lifestyle habits, and use nutrition, fitness and wellness to build physical resilience.

Then, in 2014, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Using nutrition and fitness as my weapons of choice to help me heal and cope, I continued my pre-diagnosis diet and exercise routine throughout my treatment.

Although my trusted self-care practices were put to the test, I credit them for my positive treatment outcomes and the maintenance of my physical and mental health.

Vowing to end the confusion and overwhelm for those in the breast cancer community seeking reliable nutrition, fitness and wellness information, I founded dam. mad. About BREAST CANCER ® . dam. mad. provides trusted, practical guidance through evidence-based, science-driven resources that help you move into treatment and beyond feeling confident in your self-care practices.
