Seven and a half years ago, in January 2017, I launched my DAM MAD About Breast Cancer blog.
After I finished my active treatment for hormone-driven breast cancer (February 2015), I continued running my private nutrition therapy practice and personal training studio, but I had this knowing that somehow I’d use that breast cancer experience in my work.
What I didn’t know, was what that would look like.
While I was figuring it out, my blog was born.
First, about that title. I WAS damn mad about my breast cancer and realized I needed to turn that corrosive anger into something purposeful. I’ve always loved and used writing as a way to make sense of all sorts of things. Blogs were exploding so I thought, why not jump in?
I dialed into what women in the breast cancer community were hungry to learn, as well as what I wanted to know. Writing the blog was (and is!) a wonderful way to dig into the research and translate findings into actionable, inspirational information.
Over the years I’ve had wonderful feedback from my blog readers, which is my signal to KEEP GOING!
And I intend to, after a short hiatus.
My bi-weekly blog will be back Friday, October 4, 2024. . .just in time for breast cancer awareness month.
In the meantime, there are plenty of posts here to keep you busy and informed.
To get you started, here are a few of my favorites!
